What is Net-Metering?
Net-Metering (where quotas still allow it, e.g. parts of Telasi) credits export and import in kWh: daytime surplus can offset night consumption 1:1. It is not available for every new connection — many Energo-Pro sites use Net-Billing instead.
What is Net-Billing?
Net-Billing settles surplus in money, not 1:1 kWh. Export is typically credited at wholesale tetri, while import is billed at the full commercial tariff — so self-consumption and energy storage matter more than “selling everything to the grid.” See Net-Billing for business.
What is the Return on Investment (ROI)?
Typical payback for a well-sized plant in Georgia is often about 3–4 years for business and 4–5 for residential — depending on tariff, Net-Billing vs Net-Metering, and load shape. The free solar calculator estimates payback as equipment total (hardware only) ÷ annual savings (install ~10% is a separate line). After payback you keep cutting grid spend for the life of the system.
